A native New Yorker, Ed attended Long Island University where he majored in History and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After spending several years teaching, Ed moved to Boston, where he had a highly successful career in pharmaceutical sales during the 1970's. It was while living in Boston that he met his life partner Roy; in late 1979 they moved to the Bay Area. For the next 17 years, Ed distinguished himself at Pacific Bell as a trusted consultant to major corporations. After leaving corporate America, he spent a few years doing freelance work before making the decision to obtain his real estate license, a decision he views as one of the best he has made in his life.

As a residential real estate consultant, Ed is able to put to excellent use the skills of teaching, coaching, consulting, negotiating and coordinating that his earlier career experiences taught him. He has always been very passionate about going the extra mile for those he serves, whether that has been his students, his health care or telecommunications clients, first-time home buyers, empty-nesters, seniors or real estate investors. He is firmly committed to the needs of his clients and prides himself in making their journey as smooth as possible.

Ed also believes very strongly in giving back to the community and as part of that commitment makes a significant financial contribution to various non-profit organizations after every successful close of escrow. Below is a list of 10 different organizations that help to make this world a better place; Ed is happy to let his clients designate which one(s) will receive his contribution. The amount contributed is based on the final sale price of any property where he represents either the buyer or seller.

Ed and his partner have lived in the Montclair neighborhood for the past eleven years. His favorite pastimes are traveling (he is a hard-core Francophile and fantasizes about living in Paris), and spending at least an hour a day playing with Aries, his energetic and fun-loving five year old border collie/greyhound pooch. They frequently can be found playing ball and having a great time together at one of the many wonderful nearby parks.
